Reservations became a hot commodity with their Fall 2014 series selling out in less than 45 minutes. In 2012 the couple began to offer a Market Dinner series with a multiple coursed blind menu served one Saturday night each month.

His original limited offerings had grown into a full lunch, with the menu changing daily based on ingredients local farmers were growing. On most days, the line for lunch is out the door and the dining room is full. Their in-shop “farmer’s market” grew quickly and the demand for Robert’s food heightened.

Opening Patina Green, they felt the need to offer their community a place they could trust, knowing the food they consumed was indeed real and free of pesticides, additives, preservatives, artificial flavors and colorings. Besides weekly farmer’s markets, the quest was difficult, and so their focus for Patina Green became clear. Their eyes began to open to see the unfortunate reality of the American food system, and began their search for locally grown real food. Kaci’s mother’s husband had just lost his battle with cancer and their world was shaken. Now, after nearly 5 years in the lunch business, the owners are introducing a dinner menu on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings each week, and it will most likely be an award winner as well.Ĭhef Robert and Kaci Lyford opened Patina Green in June 2010 when their family was in need of some healing.
